Point Break centers around a surf shop called Murf's Surf Shop in San Diego, California. Murphy Warner is a legendary surfer who's passed his surfing gene on to his sons.
Nothing is what it seems in this beautiful backdrop though. There's one dark secret that interlinks all of the characters and that secret if out in the open could possibly ruin the lives of this close knit group of friends and family
Under the sunny California skies we're introduced to the cast of characters who's life center around Murf.
James Warner - 30 - Murf's eldest son followed in his father wake and became an Internationally known Champion World Surfer. James resides in Australia he was going to finish one last competition but his past has come back to side track him and now he's going to take an early retirement.
Cedric
"Cee" Warner - 28 - The middle child of Murf's. He's a surfer,
yet likes to surf numbers more. The entrepreneur of the family, Cee wants
to open Murf's Shops all over the world. But like James, his past has
come back to visit in a big way. Can he over come the past so that he can
have a future?
Sy - 28 -Sy is the bad boy of the group. The player or so everyone
believes. Tossed out of his fathers house at 13 he came to live with Murf
and his brood. Sy is content to just make surfboards now for Murf.
His custom boards have taken off. Sy's father is dead now, but his money lives on in nice
trust funds set up for Sy. He's surfed all around the world and at 28
he's found that the waves are best at home in San Diego...where Gul is.
Can he overcome his bad boy ways and finally tell the girl of his dreams that
he's not what he seems?
Tim - 25 - Not much is known about Tim except he's often the butt of jokes from Sy. Tim is the normal one of the group. His parents are both Doctors at Mercy Hospital. His mother is the Chief of Staff. His sister Isabelle is now back from Oxford and trying to figure out how to tell her parents she doesn't want to be a doctor. His youngest sister Sara is getting into the surfing scene. Tim, just wants to be a psychologist for the orphanage in town to help the children there. Is he really the good guy he seems or does he hold a deep dark secret that could tear their little idyllic family apart?
Tre - 29 - Older brother to Kire, he was sent away when he was 19. Told to leave and never come back by his parents. He went off to England and became a World Famous Soccer player. Now on probation for getting into a fight on the field with another player Tre has finally come back home after 10 years to see if perhaps he can call San Diego home again.
Gul - 25 - The lone girl in the band of boys. She can hold her own on and off the waves. She's the graphics designer for the boards that Sy makes. Though she's always longed for just one of the boys to see her as a woman...and not one of the boys. Can an almost fatal accident change the course of her life for the better?
Kire - 19 - Tre's youngest sister has lived with a dark secret long forgotten, though as her memories surface, will she be able to ride the wave back to shore and to the man she loves Cee or will she wipe out on the waves and get pulled under.
Vanessa - 18 - Van is Sy's younger sister, though they just found out they were related. Van is not what she seems. The head cheerleader at San Diego High, she just quit the squad. Thrown out of her adoptive parents house she's now staying with Tre. Can love help heal the wound both of them suffered so long ago?
Jamiraquai "Jami" - 22 - Born in San Diego she left when she was 9 to go with her father a World Champion Surfer. She moved all around the world, but never forgot the crush she had on James when she was just a little girl. She's kept track of him over the years, and now she's back in San Diego after a bad run in with a Prince. She's heading to Australia to finish her Doctorate there. But, will she make it when someone from her past wants her dead? Can James find the love he's buried for her and free her from her fate?
Jinny Diamond - 21 - The Up and Coming "It" Surfer girl is coming to San Diego to get some peace and quiet after her last competition. Rumors in the gossip mags are running rampant that the 21 year old Champion of Belle's Beach is expecting a child with a wide range of guesses as to who the father could be. Several gossip mags are pointing the finger at James Warner who was seen with Jinny on their last tour together.
